Search Engine Optimization Checklist for Better Google Page Ranking

One way to make sure that you blog remain on top of search engine results is through frequent updating with quality contents, social networks promotion and making sure that your contents is rich with the right keywords. Search engine optimization process is usually an daunting task and it requires proper understanding of what to do and what not to do. In most cases, if you don't have adequate knowledge on the right way to go about doing it, you may end up overdoing it and eventually getting your blog penalized.

So, how do you know what you should include while writing your blog post? Here is a list of   search engine checklist that you can use to make sure that you are not missing anything in SEO process:  

Headlines/Title
Does it have the right keywords?
Does it communicate to your audience?
What message is it sending out and is it making sense?


ALT Attribute tags
Have you included ALT attribute to your images to make sure that there are search engine friendly?

Nofollow Tags
Did you include rel="nofollow" to all your outgoing links and other links that you do not want the spiders to follow?

Contents
Is your contents rich with the right keywords without stuffing?
Does it communicate who, what, when, why, how and who?

1.  Who
Does it target the right audience?
Are the keywords that your audience use to search included in the content?
Is your post interesting and informative enough for your audience?

2.  What
Does the content make sense to your readers?
Are they getting the right message with the contents?

3. Where
Where do you plan to promote your content?
Do you have social media button that you use to promote?

Subheadings
Is your subheading search engine optimized?

Lead Paragraph
Does it properly address the right audience?
If you are trying to write about a new idea, have you started with a simple description of the what the idea is?

SEO final check
Is your post having appropriate selected keywords?
Does your final contents have atleast two to three anchor text links?
Did you include links for other posts related to the article?

While the above checklist can help to improve the visibility of your blog in search engines results. It is important for you to keep in mind that search engine algorithms keep on changing now and then. The best thing you can do is to make sure that you are updated on recent changes and act accordingly, so that your blog can still remain relevant to the search engines.
