Google Page Speed for Blog Performance

Google has introduced a Page Speed Online tool that helps blog and website owners to analyze their blog or pages in any browser.  It also features a Page Speed Mobile analysis which  offers an opportunity to analyze the performance of a website as displayed in a Smartphone. The tool is easy to use and you don’t need to install it in your computer.

Go to Page Speed Online webpage, enter your URL and click on analyze. The page takes some few seconds to open, then it opens to a new window  with your blog’s name or website name and an overview report showing something like this; The Bloggers Ideas and Tips got an overall Page Speed Score of 95 out of 100.  This page speed shows how your page appears on a desktop browser. If you want to generate a report for your Smartphone, click on mobile report.

The Page Speed Score does not measure the time it takes for a page to load but indicates how much faster your page or blog would be.  If you get a high score, your blog is faster enough and it only need some little improvements while a low score indicates more room for improvement.

On the side bar, it displays some problems that were detected on your blog according to most prioritized problem; which is indicated as high priority and the least problem indicated as already done.  There is also suggestions summary which shows what you need to do to improve your page speed.
