How to Improve Your Blog Alexa Traffic Ranking

Search engine optimization techniques has become a daily process for most bloggers. This is because with the many new websites coming up each day, it  has become almost impossible to succeed in the world of blogging unless your blog get a page ranking.  

Alexa is one powerful page ranking tool that is used by thousand of bloggers and websites owner all over the world.  It shows a page ranking in form of the number of traffic that a website has received in the last 3 months. It is also used as a tool to increae a blog traffic.

Boosting Alexa page ranking is easy and any blogger can do provided you have registered with Alexa . Here is a few tips that can help you in getting a better Alexa ranking;

Claim your Blog
Verifying your blog/website is very important since most search engines will only crawls blogs/websites that have been verified. If you don't have an account with Alexa, you need to register one, then go to your dashboard and add your site. You can either insert a identity code on <head> tag of your HTML  or download a file for verification. Once you are done, Alexa will check your blog and if the code is found, your blog will be verified.

Download Alexa Tool bar
This is another way to increase your Alexa traffic ranking.  Alexa tool bar is used to track links that might be linking to your website which Alexa might not be aware of. The more links pointing to your blog, the more likely your blog will get a high  Alexa page ranking.

Using Alexa Widget
Alexa Widget acts like a reciprocal link and whenever someone visiting your website clicks on it, your page ranking increases. You can create a widget by going to Alexa website, selecting a site and clicking on get widget, insert the URL of your blog. A code will be generated for your blog which you copy and paste in your blog.

Writing Review about Alexa
Writing a positive review about Alexa is another way to increase your page ranking. It is a way of promoting your blog since you will also be increasing your Alexa ranking.

Reviews About your Websites on Alexa
Reviews acts like a way of recommending other users about a certain website. You can simply tell your friends to review your website on Alexa website.  Your website will be ranked higher if it has many review  and especially if the reviews are positive.

With these few tips, I believe you can be able to get a better Alexa page ranking. A good Alexa ranking will most likely increases your overall ranking. Search engine crawlers put much consideration into Alexa ranking and if a website is having a good Alexa ranking, it will get a higher page ranking.

  2. Adding more to the post. If you are using a Shared hosting move to a VPS hosting. Shared Hosting is good for small sites with low traffic. When the site starting having more traffic you should have a good host to handle it. I had this issue and bought a VPS (from VPSWEBSERVER) and moved my blog. It worked and could see a huge improvement too.

  4. Brilliant article I really learned some things from this one. I always take the Alexa data with a grain of salt, the new insight features are pretty cool. Alexa is most popular in - their traffic rank, is popular because it has been around for a long time and is well referenced. Anyways nice tips.
